In order to welcome “SNEC 2nd (2008) International Solar and PV Conference", display the professional qualities and technical level of PV experts, further promote the technology and application exchanges between Chinese and overseas enterprises, enhance the study, application and innovation of PV industry, organized by the Experts Committee of Shanghai New Energy Industry Association and the journal Shanghai New Energy,The 1st "Suntech Cup" Solar Cells and PV Power Paper Contest
will be officially lanuched in September 2007. the contest winners will be invited to participate in the SNEC 2nd (2008) International Solar and PV Conference in May 2008, Shanghai. Certificates and prizes will also be awarded.
PV researchers and professional technicians in research institutions, disigning institutions, colleges, enterprises, and project companies all over the world are sincerely welcomed to deliver your own penetrating viewpoints. The following is the specific information on soliciting paper.

2. Paper Topics:
a) The Latest Technology and Development Trend of PV Industry In China and Abroad
b) Advanced PV Application Project Cases and Analysis on the Solution
c) The Latest Research Achievements in PV Projects

3. Notes:
a) Please indicate “The 1st "Suntech Cup" Solar Cells and PV Power Paper Contest” in the manuscript
b) Please submit the paper including both Chinese and English abstracts. The deadline is March 31, 2008.
c) The abstract and the whole paper must be sent to the Email box of the secretariat and the 2-inch colorful photos and the resume (both Chinese and English) of the first author should be submitted together.
d) The paper shoule not be over 5000 words(including pictures and diagrams).
e) Paper requests clear argument, practical contents, reliable data, clear orderliness, smooth writing succinct, clear article and prominent usability.
f) Paper contents include: research purpose, research methods, results, analysis and conclusion.
g) The first page of your paper should include: title, abstract ( within 200 words both in Chinese and English), and 3-5 key words. If your paper is about foundation projects or national key scientific and technological project, please indicate this in the last line of the first page.
h) Unified Format: Head: No.4 size, boldface; others: No.5 size, song typeface: A4 paper; 25 lines per page and 40 words per line. Separate paragraphs from pictures and do not mix them. You can download the format of the paper from http://www.snec.org.cn or get it from the secretariat.
i) Requirements on paper can be seen on www.snec.org.cn .
Papers approved by our experts will be edited in Paper Collection and will recommend those qualified papers to the according periodical to publish.
4. Submission Way:
Please email your paper to : office@snec.org.cn . And if you submit your paper by post, please print it in A4 paper and post three copies to : Room 1008, No.1525, West Zhongshan Rd., 200235, Shanghai.
5. Prize Catalogue:
This paper contest sets up 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize, the Honorable Prize and the Commemorative Prize.
1st prize (1 person), prize value CNY8000;
2nd prize (3 people), prize value CNY4000;
3rd prize (6 people), prize value CNY 2000;
Honorable Prize(20 people),prize value CNY500;
Every author who submits the paper and is approved in the first step can get a Commemorative Prize which value CNY50.
