Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) the 2nd General Meeting of the 3rd Council is successfully held in Kerry Hotel Pudong, Shanghai in the afternoon on April 19, 2017 during the SNEC2017. Members of APVIA Steering Committee and Executive Committee from China, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, USA and Europe attend this meeting.

APVIA is the most representative PV industrial organization in Asia. It aims at promoting the development of PV industry worldwide, especially in Asia, including China, India, as well as those fast-growing solar markets in Southeast and West Asia. APVIA attracts industrial associations, research institutes, PV companies from different countries and regions in Asia, such as China (including Taiwan and Hong Kong), Japan, India, Korea, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Turkey, Saudi Arab, Israel, etc.
In this meeting, Mr. Edwin Khew, APVIA Sec-Gen and Chairman of Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS), makes a summary report on the achievements that APVIA has reached and tasks accomplished, including:
1.       APVIA formally established a new Media Committee, of which the launch ceremony was held in GCL Sunshine Experience Showroom on January 11th 2017;
2.       Share with all the latest status of APVIA member’s recruitment;
3.       Share with all the production and distribution of APVIA Newsletters and APVIA Market Report;
4.       Establishment of APVIA Office Online system and the interaction and co-working model with all members.

Ltd. (AECEA), Mr. Bryan Ekus, Managing Director of Solar United, Mr. Gaeten Masson, Marketing Director of Solar United, Mr. Chin Soo Mau, Chairman of Malaysian PV Industry Association(MPIA), Ms. Claire Marie Yvonne Lee, Director of Philippine Solar Power Alliance Inc.(PSPA) and Mr. Ronald S. Cortez, General Manager of Solarzone, or verbally or use slides to introduce the PV market status of their countries and areas.
Mdm. Yue Mi, APVIA Executive Vice Chairman and Director of Shanghai Environmental Science Information Technology Exchange Center introduces the establishing process of International Green Energy Scientific Innovation Center and its formal unveiling on the Opening session of SNEC2017 Conference on the afternoon of April 17th, 2017.On behalf of Mr. Gongshan Zhu, APVIA Chief Chairman and the Founder and Chairman of Golden Concord Holdings Limited, Mr. Hua Shu, Vice Chairman of Golden Concord Holdings Limited also expressed their support all the way to APVIA and heartfelt wish to the Innovation Center. Mr. Collin Yang, Chief Brand Officer of Trina Solar and Mr. Jiagan Ouyang, General Manager of Guangzhou Sanjing Electric Co., Ltd also give their constructive suggestions on APVIA future developments.
The development and expansion of Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA) is closely related to all PV allies’ pertinent suggestions and long-term support. In the future, APVIA will carry out all work as always and will take pushing the development of PV industry and better serving all members as our first task. APVIA look forward to meeting everyone again in next general meeting to be held in Singapore in October, 2017.
