Approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China [Ref. No.: (2009)0425], SNEC 4th (2010) International Photovoltaic Power Generation Exhibition [SNEC (2010) PV POWER EXPO] will take place from from May 5 to 7, 2010 at Shanghai New International Expo Center (2345 Longyang Road, Pudong District, Shanghai, China). SNEC (2010) PV POWER CONFERENCE will be held concurrently from May 7 to 8, 2010 at Shanghai International Convention Center (2727 Riverside Avenue, Pudong District, Shanghai, China). This event is hosted by Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA), and co-organized by 15 international organizations including European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), Chinese Renewable Energy Society (CRES), Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), American Council On Renewable Energy(ACORE), Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Chinese-American Institute of Engineers & Scientists (CAIES), Japan Photovoltaic Energy Association (JPEA), German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar), New Energy Industry Association for Asia and the Pacific (NEIAAP), Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), Delegation of German Industry & Commerce Shanghai/econet china, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH, Taiwan Photovoltaic Industry Association (TPVIA), Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics (SFIE) and Shanghai Science Technology Development & Exchange Center.
SNEC(2010) PV POWER EXPO has invited Mr. Yiren Jiang, Member of the Standing Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Chairman of the Presidium of China Federation of Industrial Economics (CFIE) and President of Shanghai Federation of Industrial Economics (SFIE), Mr. Dinghuan Shi, Counselor of the State Council of the People's Republic of China and Chief Director of Chinese Renewable Energy Society (CRES), and Dr. Murray Cameron, Vice President of European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), to act as Chairmen; invited Mr. Junfeng Li, Deputy Director of CRES and Secretary General of Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA), and Dr. Zhengrong Shi, Vice Chairman of Shanghai New Energy Industry Association (SNEIA) and Chairman & CEO of Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd., to be Executive Chairmen.
We will invite world-class experts from the photovoltaic industry, the academic experts from universities and institutes as well as the chief experts recommended by brand enterprises to join the Academic Committee. The Chairmen of Academic Committee will be Scientia Prof. Martin Green, Executive Research Director of the ARC Photovoltaics Centre of Excellence at the University of New South Wales in Australia, Prof. Luguang Yan, Chairman of Scientific Committee of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, CAS, and Prof. Yuwen Zhao, Deputy Director of the Chinese Renewable Energy Society (CRES).
With the theme of “Develop New Energy, Benefit All Mankind”, SNEC (2010) PV POWER CONFERENCE will focus on the KEY TOPIC about how to make the photovoltaic industry obtain a rapid, steady and sustainable growth through enhancing international exchanges and cooperation, accelerating the technology upgrading, guaranteeing the high quality of products, and promoting the application market expansion, especially under the trend of developing a low-carbon economy as well as building a low-carbon society. The conference consists of SIX sessions: Keynote Speeches, PV Experts & CTO Panel, CEO Panel, Advanced PV Industry Technology Forum (Grid-Connection and System Integration Forum, Silicon Material Forum, Crystalline Silicon Cell Forum, Thin-film Cell Forum, Solar Cell Equipment Forum), China Cross-Strait Solar PV Development Outlook 2010, and Investment Facilitation Forum. Meanwhile, there will be the 3rd Working Group Meeting and a Press Conference for the Establishment of Asian-Pacific Photovoltaic Industry Council (APPIC).
In the SNEC 3rd (2009) PV POWER EXPO, 3000+ PV experts and scholars attended the conference; 1032 companies active along the whole PV value chain exhibited at the show; the total exhibition space reached 60,000 sq. meters; 60,000+ professionals visited the exhibition. Despite the global financial crisis, the event has broken the record of PV exhibitions previously held in Asia.
During SNEC (2010) PV POWER CONFERENCE & EXPO, Shanghai will be hosting World Expo 2010, which will certainly help attract more industry people. It is expected that 4,000 PV experts and scholars, 60,000 professionals and over 5,000 enterprises, including buyers, suppliers, integrators, etc., will gather in Shanghai for this grand occasion. As a large-scale international PV show across the whole value chain, SNEC (2010) PV POWER EXPO will offer exhibitors and visitors not only the chance of face-to-face communication but also infinite business opportunities.
